Nursery School Sessions

Queen’s Nursery School, which looks after 3-4 year olds in their pre-school year, is term-time only, with some holiday provision being available.

Sessions in the Nursery School can be booked on a morning, afternoon or full day session basis and the number you would like your child to attend depends on their maturity and individual family circumstances.

Some children attend on a full time basis right from the start and we advise that, to help with sociability and peer interaction, a child attends for a minimum of three sessions a week.

As they progress through the academic year and once they become more confident we encourage children to increase their time at Nursery School.

Sessions can be booked on a termly basis and the school welcomes the use of governments EYE funding, available to children between the ages of three and five years, as well as personal childcare voucher schemes provided by independent businesses.

The Nursery School sessions start at 8.30am, with the option to drop off your child from 7.45am. Sessions available include:

  • 7.45 am – 1.00pm (including lunch)
  • 7.45 am – 3.30pm
  • 7.45 am – 6.00pm (after-school care 3.30pm-6.00pm)
  • 1.00 – 6.00pm (after-school care 3.30pm-6.00pm)
