Queen's College is a Methodist School and a member of the Methodist Schools' Group. We have a caring, Christian ethos and are immensely proud of our cheerful, friendly and courteous pupils who support each other and contribute hugely to the life of the school.
The Methodist Church is engaged in education as part of its Christian mission in the world and schools in the group aim to extend the Methodist ethos and character and contribute to diversity in education.

Here at Queen's College we have a full-time Chaplain who represents the wider church and has a responsibility for developing the Methodist tradition and ethos. Alongside the College Leadership Group, the Chaplain's role is to develop a stimulating and compassionate school community in which individuals are cared for and where qualities such as honesty, tolerance, understanding and commitment are encouraged.
The Chaplain leads the school in worship weekly during the term, taking the Pre-Prep assembly every Friday morning. Junior and Senior assemblies include a thought for the day, prayers and hymns and are open to all faiths. In addition, the Chaplain also arranges the annual Carol Services for Junior, Pre-Prep and Nursery in the Queens' Hall and the Founders' Day Service on Speech Day. Although these services take the form of a Christian act of worship they are not denominationally based. The boarding community at Queen's worship together once a week and give an opportunity for students and staff to stop and reflect.
The Chaplain is also involved with charity fundraising in the Junior School. Recent charities we have supported include Comic Relief and the Air Ambulance, fundraising with own clothes and dressing up days.
