This week we were proud to say that the BBC recorded the first programme in the new series of the ‘The Kitchen Cabinet’ show at Queen’s presented by TV and Radio foodie celebrity award-winning writer, journalist, restaurant critic, and MasterChef judge, Jay Rayner.
Jay described the BBC Radio 4 culinary panel programme ‘The Kitchen Cabinet’ show as a “witty, fast-moving, and irreverent, but packed full of information that may well change the way you think about cooking”.
The audience of pupils, parents and our wider regional community had the opportunity to put a whole raft of questions on anything and everything to do with food and drink to a celebrity panel of experts and enjoy plenty of good-humoured conversation with the foodie celebrities about all aspects of cooking and eating.
The BBC show featured a veritable who’s who of foodie experts on stage including Alice Lascelles author, presenter and journalist for the Times, Tim Hayward writer, broadcaster, and restaurateur, Professor Barry Smith, broadcaster, author, and journalist and Tim Anderson, American-British chef, restaurateur, writer, radio personality and MasterChef competition, winner.
Jay said, “The Kitchen Cabinet is back on the road for good and I was delighted to be coming back to Queen’s College and bringing my mates. A huge thank you to everyone involved.”
This first show in the series show will be broadcast next month to millions of BBC listeners on July 16th.
