Year 6 visited the Senior School this week to take part in the famous “Egg Drop Challenge”.
They all had a fabulous time creating structures to protect their eggs from breaking. They had to cooperate, listen to each other and work as a team to create the best chance for their eggs to survive. Eleven teams competed. They devised a team name and also gave their eggs a name and a face. Some creations were absolutely fantastic and they all worked together brilliantly.
They then joined the Year 7 celebration assembly on Thursday to see what it is like to be part of Year 7 and to receive the Egg Drop Challenge Awards. Prizes and certificates were given for Best Name, Best Structure and the best overall winners. Year 6 were really enthusiastic and engaged well with the task in hand. Well done Year 6 and The Unstoppable Jeffs for winning first prize with Jeff the egg. Thanks also to the Year 12s who assisted with the activity.
