Year 2 Trip to Knighthayes

Year 2 Trip to Knighthayes

Posted: 12th June 2024

Year 2 had a wonderful day at Knightshayes exploring the kitchen garden and looking at the variety of edible plants. The children used great observation skills to spot foods such as broad beans, onions, garlic and rhubarb growing.

After that, they explored the flowering plants in the formal garden and looked for wildlife.  The pond provided a chance to see newts and dragonflies within their natural habitat.  We ended the day by exploring the wider wooded gardens and spotting a variety of different trees. A fabulous day out studying nature as part of their Science curriculum!
