On Monday, pupils across the college took part in ‘Instroduction’ – a taster event for new instrumentalists.
Pupils jumped straight into music with a ukulele workshop with Mr Charles, getting to grips with four chords and tackling some classic hits, from ‘Take On Me’ to the legendary ‘Let it Go’. They then had the opportunity to explore instruments from across the orchestral spectrum, trying out their skills from trombone to violin to bass guitar and voice, before finishing the evening with a vocal mash-up, accompanied by our instrumental teachers. It was great to see the buzz from our young musicians and we are excited to see them try out more instruments in the new school year.
