Prep School Speech Day was a resounding success, filled with pride, joy, and a celebration of all things that are great about Queen’s. We welcomed many parents, grandparents, friends and family and invited guests to the marquee on The Lower to share in the end of year celebrations.
As ever there were speeches from Mr Matthews – Head of Prep School, who spoke of his pride in the children and their many achievements this year. Mr Mark Edwards – Chair of Governors, who shared stories of his time in school and the the message that achieving great things sometimes means simply to keep going. Choir performances from Year 3 and 4 who performed two songs brilliantly and finally the much anticipated awards which were introduced by Mrs Kershaw – Assistant Head and Mr Noad – Head of College.
The morning was rounded off with drinks and refreshments in the dry (if not sunny) weather overlooking Senior School Sports Day.
