Thursday the 26th of September was the European day of languages. This year at Queen’s we have appointed Language Ambassadors and together with the Languages Faculty they put together 2 special assemblies to celebrate languages – one in Prep and one in Senior. Various staff (not the language teachers!!) were videoed speaking in another language saying why languages are important to them and the pupils also spoke confidently about the benefits of learning languages. This was also an opportunity to launch the European ‘Languages for Peace’ Creation Competition.
