Queen’s Mini MUN returned on Tuesday, bringing together 63 Year 6 pupils from Queen’s College and several local primary schools for a day of debate on climate change and global disaster response.
Working in teams of two or three, the students represented various UN countries. They began by observing a model debate led by Queen’s College Year 10 MUN students, who then supported the younger pupils throughout the day as they researched topics, prepared amendments to resolutions, and formulated questions. It was inspiring to witness the children’s confidence grow, and by the afternoon, they were actively lobbying and discussing their proposed amendments independently. The debates showcased insightful points and thoughtful contributions from all.
Thank you to all the schools who attended.
