Harry Potter Rehearsals in Full Swing

Harry Potter Rehearsals in Full Swing

The magic is starting to form on stage as the final preparations take place for the epic production of ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’. From costume creation to choreographing staircases, to practising very special effects, rehearsing this show is so much more than just learning the lines!

‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ is a multi-generation story, as Harry and his son Albus both have problems to solve and enemies to defeat, so that means there is a lot of action for the Year 8s as well as our Year 13s- the pupils and teachers of Hogwarts are all involved in the intricate story of time-travel, revenge and betrayal. Creating the “Harry Potter World” is possibly the Performing Arts department’s greatest-ever challenge, but there’s an excellent company spirit and they have already running through and polishing Act 1 and 2! In the meantime, they are also mastering magic wands, flame effects and making steam come out of people’s ears!
