Last Tuesday marked the Prep School’s inaugural House Singing Day, a vibrant celebration of talent and teamwork.
A week prior, the House captains randomly selected their songs from the movie ‘Sing,’ sparking a flurry of creative planning. Pupils from Years 2 to 6 dedicated three hours to rehearsals, interrupted by an energetic pancake race, and then enjoyed a focused twenty-minute preparation period in the Birchall Hall.
The resulting performances were nothing short of spectacular. The children’s enthusiasm, combined with the staff’s dedicated support, yielded truly remarkable shows. Beyond the singing, the audience was treated to dance routines, gymnastic displays, spirited cheerleading moves, creative props, and even rhythmic African drumming. Solo performances and acapella renditions further added to some performances.
