The Queen’s College robotics team delivered an outstanding performance at this year’s competition, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and innovation. Despite the unpredictability of live events—where even the most meticulously planned robots can encounter challenges—the team spent much of the day leading the scoreboard. Although they unfortunately did not gain all the points they hoped to, their dedication and skill were evident throughout.
Beyond the fast-paced excitement of the Robotics Competition, students also presented a research project linked to this year’s theme, Submerged. A standout contribution came from Jacob, who played a pivotal role in the project. His initiative connected the team with a senior university lecturer in Oceanography and Meteorology, providing valuable insights into Argo Floats.
This marks Queen’s College’s strongest performance in three years of competing, and the team is already looking forward to returning next year with even greater ambition.
