Live comedy returns to Taunton as Queen’s Comedy Club welcomes another brilliant night of stand up to Queen’s Hall Theatre.
Following a series of sold out shows, audiences have described the nights as “a great night out”, with a “really good atmosphere”, “fantastic acts” and a venue that makes the whole evening feel relaxed from the moment you arrive.
Staged in our 500 seat theatre, the evening brings the atmosphere and quality of a national comedy tour right to the heart of Taunton. With drinks available throughout, two interval breaks and plenty of time to relax, it is the perfect night out with friends, family or colleagues.
Headlining the evening is Geoff Norcott, one of the UK’s best known comedians. A regular on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week and The Last Leg, Geoff has built a reputation for his sharp observations, quick wit and brilliantly crafted stand up, making him one of the country’s most in demand live performers.
Opening the show is West Country favourite James Dowdeswell. As seen on Russell Howard’s Good News, Ricky Gervais’ Extras and Sky Sports, James combines imaginative storytelling with a laid back style that has delighted audiences across the UK. As Russell Howard says, “I have known James for 20 years and his pub stories are the stuff of legend.”
Joining the line up is Keefy Jewell, whose energetic, engaging comedy and effortless audience rapport make him a perfect addition to the evening, while award winning MC Dani Johns keeps the night flowing with warmth, wit and brilliant audience interaction.
