The long-suffering animals of Manor Farm are filled with hope when they finally overthrow cruel Farmer Jones. Sadly though, in Orwell’s celebrated parable, the honest and trusting inhabitants of Animal Farm learn that, although all animals are equal, some are more equal than others.
In the decades since the publication of Orwell’s seminal work of anti-Stalinist satire, we have seen the collapse of the regime that disturbed and inspired its author; the beginning and end of the Cold War, with all its attendant horrors; and the rise and fall of any number of would-be Napoleons.
Queen’s College Senior School proudly presents this brand new Brechtian adaptation of the classic political fable, brought right up to date with a message for right here and right now!
